GILDEMEISTER CTX 400 SERIE 2

Hi All,
We have got a GILDEMEISTER CTX 400 SERIE 2 with HEIDENHAIN CNC PILOT 3190 Control.
Our long term Turner has retired and enjoying life.
We are trying to run programs that have run before and are having problems.
Every program that uses a G74 pecking cycle causes the machine to fault out giving us the error below.
F MAIN SPINDLE CLAMPING ILLEGAL COMMAND
G72 SPOTTING CYCLE Runs fine, only the G74 giving this problem.
We are getting round it by getting rid of the g74 and programming long hand.
Is this a problem anyone else has come across?
