Something different for a rotary plasma build
i had bought a plasma cutter a while back and had plans to eventually do something CNC with it. The plasma cutter had come with a hand torch but i got a pretty good deal on a straight torch for it last year. At first, I did not give a rotary axis much thought until i got into working on a Z axis and started looking at things from a wider perspective. That's when i had this rotary idea pop into my head and soon i became obsessed with the idea of having two self-centering chucks that could be controlled in the program so they could basically act like a bar feeder so longer material could be done on a small machine 4' x 4' size range.
This has been a fun and interesting project so far and figured I would share here for anyone interested in following along. This is a hobby for me so i don't mind trying out new ideas. i have hit a few bumps so far but that's ok as long as i don't hit a brick wall along the way. the way I look at things is you never know until you try it. So i have the, you win some you lose some mind set going into this. But i have made enough progress to Share.
