EMG wiring problem 18i

Hi,

I am right in trying to setup a 18i-mb which I got from a busted company.
While I am a mechanical egineer you can regard me as a Funuc dummy... So I will understand most technical stuff but lack of information makes me :confused:

The system is OK, software comes up and a small PLC is working. I defined an X8#4 EMG input and can watch X8#4, F1#7 and G8#4 changing when I switch the EMG signal.
I also defined an output signal following G8#4 for testimg purposes.

Attached to the control I have only one SVM2 connected with FSSB.
It is connected to a PSM. I have no SPM.

I learned that the *ESP signal is carried by the cx2 connectors but only to forward the *ESP condition to all SPMs and SVMs.

In a manual I found a description of the EMG circuit but it refers only to systems having a SPM. Here I saw that the PSM needs a low MCCOFF line on JX1B#7. This normally is supplied by the SPM and I guess it gets there from the control by the serial spindle interface.

How can I make the SPM start the 3phase relay looped through CX3 ?
Do I have to solder a wire that fits on the JX1B connector and connect JX1B#7 to a defined Output of the control I/O ?

Or is there another way to do it ?
