uploading problem on mAZAK m32

Somebody called me with a problem. The guy has a MAZAK horizontal machining center with a m32 control. He programs his machine in G codes and transfers it in the machine from his laptp using the rs232 cable. Most of the time it works. His problem is the following: he gets an alarm when he tries to upload the program from the data in out screen. He had his board checked and they told him the board was working.Is there someone who ran into that problem before and knows what it could be?

What is the alarm? Also, on his laptop, is he using a 25pin serial or 9pin serial? and whats he using for communication software? If it works most of the time then it might just be a bad connect sometimes. Check the cable, adapter (if any), modem crossover (if any), ..... dirt... etc.
