took two weekends to machine the parts needed to make phase 1 cnc. considering that until I purchased this milling machine in the spring, I had never used one I think I did pretty good. My biggest holdup was that I installed a set of DRO's to help make these parts. Finally got it up and running a couple of weeks ago and then just needed to find time to make some chips. Today I also took the time to create a dust collector on/off port for the CNC. Now I just need to make 4-5 more of them to get the best suction on a running machine. Right now I'm still waiting on some parts from china, and next payday I'll order the 3 drives that I will need.
