Does anyone have any other 3D buildings animals or dino puzzles they would like to show or share ???
If you are looking for New and interesting Cnc projects to make with your cnc machine, check out www.centracraft.com
Construct'ems Downloadable Do-It-Yourself CNC Projects.
Dinosaurs, insects, rocking horse, and other things you can make with your cnc machine. All of the dxf files are clean and ready to cut. You do not have to spend time fixing messy dxfs. Assembly instructions are also included with the dxf, so you can easily assemble the dinosaur after the parts are cut out.
Cheers for the link.
I appreciate that some of the DXF files posted are a litle bit iffy. Generally I have found all the insects to be an excellent fit. Most of the dinosaurs are good. Except the fonts. I can't comment about all the buildings as I have only built the eiffel tower(twice) but fit was superb.
Perhaps we should repost DXF's we have corrected?
But for the cheapskates like myself heres a cleaned up version of the Rooster. I have converted it myself so all slots are consistent width. Again this was converted from the Russian site that Alerain provided.

Hi Bigz1
Great job. these have to be the cleanest conversions I have seen when you consider the poor quality of the files that are on that site. - What program do you use?? and how hard is it to get the conversion so accurate?

I've made a small collection of dino dxf which I have collected over time
Thanks for the compliment smartyarty53. I have described the process here:-

I just use 2 programs VCarve Pro and AutoCad. But its easy enough to find free vectorise programs and Cad programs on the web which will give the same result.
Most of the animal are easy to converts as they join together in a chain. ie one after the other so the vectorised outline doesn't have to be that accurate. I wouldn't use the same approach on any vechicle or building as several pieces join together to form a box etc, and fit is crucial.
The animals are all curved parts so most of the work is just adding slots and tidying the odd messy curve.
With any the vectorise programs I have used its either decent curve fit with wobbly lines, or staright lines(which are not perfectly perpendicular) with the curves substituted with short straight lines.
Apart from the ship. The rooster has took more time than any other animal. But it was still only 3 hours.
I won't be able to convert any more for a while as the computer is about to be packed away as am moving. But as soon as my CNC is setup again I will be working flat out to publish the Jinty train.
Soundcop. Your dxf collection is a great source. I have cut a couple from it and have posted the link before. The frog in particlar had me scratching my head for a couple of days. I will have to send you the correction for the 2 parts that form the back
