So I think I need to change programmer. Many Thanks to you for your help I will inform you about my result. I made I combyne prototype controller board combine from UHU and Chan shematic. So .... Did you meke the same????? Chan have IR2184 based shematic. I used the same. Chan's shematic does not heva connection of SD/ on both chips. Here on forum I had found elm_sch.pdf In it sd/ of both 2184 was shorted and together should be connected to shutdown. Do you know what is shutdown (I think it should be connected to +5 volts)? Bacause due to datasheet of IR2184 only in=1 and sd/=1 will give HO=1 and LO=1 to drive one side. Do you know something about connection of SD/ on IR2184?Quote:

Yes for shure but SD should be =1 together with in=1 to have LO and HO both 1. It can be used like you advice. But did you tried to meke like this??Quote:

I think many of you have encountered the problem where CNC software in windows especially lacks the ability to generate very stable pulses. This causes motors to vibrate and even jump over steps. So I intend to create a AVR controller (based on attiny2313 i hope) that will receive commands from the computer in a form:
GO 1000 2000 3000
where the parameters are the the number of steps the controller has to generate on 3 axes. The controller will be configured to have Vini, Vmax and Acc for each axe and will generate on 6 pins step,dir pulses.
The drawback for this is that windows software will have to be modified to output commands on a serial port. I also have a Delphi7 project that commands a 3 axes machine that I can modify easily and also make open source.
So the question is: will this be a good thing? Is someone interested for that? Does anyone know any similar projects? Is there a standard serial protocol for that?

SYSCLK = 15000000 (like the resonator i used) If not setting this value the serial communication will not work :)
INI_MODE = 3 to start the chip directly in step / dir mode...

alex751 - in all modes (0,1,2,3) you should make connect between ELM and PC.

Alex 751. You should start the hyper terminal program and then turn on the power for your CHIP, you should be able to see the massage. Actually the programmer I am using are self build. only with 1 transister 2sc1815.
Most importance remember to check the TX and RX whether connect correctly.

I got very nice servo motor 127V 37A(peak) with internal brake but at the same time I got problem - no suitable controller!
What do you think, is here a way to use ELM servo controller for such powerful motor? Maybe somebody is working on driver like this?
I am mechanical guy, so for my self here is no way to build driver but I would like to assist with parts (bears) etc if somebody seriously can build controller to handle high currents!

What is CNC - cnc is numerical controll. Due to control and driving system. Usualy in systems industriall I mean you have two type of movement:

2) circular interpolation
The problem is how to drive smooth. you see yhere is one meaning: point-to-point. One from the big list of positive things is - profram can go up and can go down smoothly with a speed. Check it. Also there is a lot of amusing things. It can work with plasma Laser wooden and maetal cutting job. As I think you need Artcam 7.0 and mach3mill. Check also all point about joistic driving web camera statistic putting external encoders big in out info controller and driving tuner. You will like it. And it is sutable for ELM SMC.
