Still, if I did'nt have this kurt, two of those GPV-615 would of been a good choice for me.
It would be nice if you had one just like the GSV690 but with the flange all the way around so it could be used with toe clamps, or bolt flanges on the front and back as well. I guess im just being picky.
BTW: I assume you use a *cough* half spherical element in the vise to remove deflection. Is that element and its socket ground smooth? Or very finely milled? or just cast?
Iv heard one of the diffrences in low and high end vises of this type is that half spherical element and/or its socket are 'rough' on the cheaper vises.
