New control for Bridgeport Apollo II

I have a Bridgeport Apallo II that im looking to put a more modern control on. It works currently but the sx-15 control is a pain to use. I would like to keep the servos that are on the machine now. Maybe upgrade the encoders if needed. I contacted centroid about buying one of their controls and there a little more than i would like to spend. Dose anyone know of a good control for this machine?

I have the same machine i retrofited to a centroid system, bought my parts from ajaxcnc.com
Its a very nice setup for the money. you can use your existing motors by using their encoders.
ajax is the DIY part of centroid. Its pretty easy to install and they already have a plc that you need for that machine.
