Acramatic 2100 X axis Servo Error

Hi Guys I need some help please. The X axis motor was shot and there isn't an older motor around but Siemens had a new replacement. We purchased and installed the new motor, cables, and while there replaced the bearings. The Siemens drive did not recognize the new motor so I had to upgrade the firmware. Firmware is upgraded and new motor parameters are entered as directed by Siemens. I have an X axis encoder error that pops up during boot up and I cannot get any further. I have tried many things including even unplugging the X axis drive from the DV5 board, J3, just to get a different error but no,... Same error plugged in or not.
Ps. Siemens is less than usless
Any ideas?
