Sorry folks not even sure how to explain this one.
The following is dummy code to try and solve an issue I have.
I'm trying to refer to a variable using a different variables value to set the variable name.
POS1=20
VC20=123.4
PXM=VC[POS1]
Does PXM Equal 123.4?

trial testing is key and a huge time saver
i dont know what you are trying to do, but you take it step by step : ifsyntax, file asignment, variables with arguments, etc :)

Anyway, not always necessary to know what the person is ultimately trying to achieve, a quick, simple reply is all this person asked for and that is what I provided.

you are correct :) i am not saying that there has to be a single approach, but after writing a code, less keystrokes are required to test it, rather then whatever else
timing is key, and osp has the capability to allow dense testing by using network,etc ... other brands require a too long keychain, that simply delays testing, and somehow may discourage someone, like using that crowded fanuc keyboard, or the ';' , etc
such things may make someone to imagine that what he learned is the only way, while osp is so much more
very few people ask the questions that he does, in such a short time window, thus there is experience, but there is no speed ...
is not needed to be near a cnc to test an okuma macro, as long as there are no system variables :)
and in some cases , having acces to data logs, leads to useless discusions, that otherwise wouldnt happen if monitoring tools wouldnt have been used / kindly :)
