Serial port via NC program

Hello everybody!!

We have CNC center with Sinumerik 840C I want to add a measuring instrument to machine.

The instrument has a serial RS232 Output , is it possible to read serial port while NC program is running? for example use @ ..... I want to read the measuring data and save it in R parameter or..

then I can correct the program.
