Can ACS606 servo drive use +-10v analogue signals?
Hi there
Looking to replace a z axis motor and drive, but my motion controller (csmio IP/A) only outputs +-10v, because i wanted to keep the X & Y axis brushed dc servo motors and drives.
Really struggling to figure out which servo drives actually accept analogue +-10v signals, as the descriptions are often very vague
I was looking to buy this kit instead of messing around trying to get the old brushed dc motor and 24v encoder to work with a new drive,
its a ACS606 servo drive and a BLM57180 motor

was also considering ac servo motors but cant find any with a small enough shaft.
cheers for any help

Re: Can ACS606 servo drive use +-10v analogue signals?
Isn't the ACS606 a pulse/dir input?
Is the loop closed back to the drive or the CNC controller? If the Latter, then any of the A-M-C analogue input drives should work, their are also other manuf of Torque mode drives.
The BLM57180 motor is BLDC.

Dc brushed motors like this are not a good choice
Cosmo do have a Step/Dir control but yours is not, that is not a great replacement drive and motor is Step/Dir only, you could find an older Yaskawa Servo Drive and motors SGD-04AS is +/-10v you have to use a matching motor with this drive also, DMM also have what you could use also https://dmm-tech.com/
