need help with a centroid conversion on a haas
i was wondering if any one can help me better understand. i want to convert a 1998 haas vf3 to an oak controller without changing the original servo motors or drivers.
its my understanding I need to use flying cables to connect from the oak board to the driver (yellow) . anyone know where I can find a pin out diagram for the haas driver/amp [circled in red], and is my only option for encoder feedback to attach an encoder expansion board (EEB) (purple) or can I wire the encoder into the fly cable (blue). or get all new drivers and toss the vector drive ?
Has anyone converted a haas vf2 3 or 4 ?

Try posting your question on the Centroid forum. Lots of knowledge there.

Re: need help with a centroid conversion on a haas
I have done that as well. from years of reading the CNCzone forums I know there is a lot of knowledge here too. So I thought I would try and post here for some brain picking if possible.
