Super noob (no cape)
So I was reading about the cabinet drawer slides and their use for the xyz axis. I know I can complete that part per my own spec.
I plan to make a foam cutting router table with my old dremel (use my roto zip more at work). I have been epoxyglass molding finished foam airplane mockups for electric ducted fan radio control use. I would like to take the "art" out of building these mockups (plugs) and putting alittle more "science" into it. So I don't need a super duper system, just one to get my basic idea into reality and then if need be I can sand a little or whatever. I will finish it with a coating of sorts and sanding from there anyway. Then wax and PVA.
My money has many priorities and often not the right ones, at least not right yet. So I am looking to ask the collective what other items I might need to get this in working order other than the table with rolling axis itself.
Would anyone recommend some bottom dollar items and program?
Do I only need motors and threaded rod and a controller and program??
Thanks

Any one kinda noob like me, there is a great tutorial on the basics over at stepperworld.com. Looks like a starter package for $200 bucks, nice. I might be cutting foam plugs for around $350.00! Wow this deserves a smiley:)
