Doosan Puma 400b Turret setting
Hello all long time lurker first time posting.
I have a 2013 Doosan Puma 400b that was having turret issues. One of our techs removed the whole turret and curvic and now that it is back together we cant seem to find a referencing procedure. Is there a way to just manually unclamp the turret (with a keep relay) and handwheel or manually turn it to tool 1 position and call that home? I could do this on Kia machines or old Okuma Howa VTLs in my sleep, but this thing is breaking my stones.
Thanks!!

Re: Doosan Puma 400b Turret setting
Is the turret servo or hydraulic?
K5.3=0 Hydraulic
K5.3=1 Servo
If Servo, use K5.4=1 to override the curvic unclamp
rotate 360 in both directions using only 2 fingers.
if more force is needed or if motion is uneven then there are balance issues or mechanical issues. Resolve these first.
If rotation is balanced:
Align to "slightly off" from a perfect position of the first 12 stations
Set K5.4=0 and curvic should clamp while causing a slight "jerk" action of one curvic disk slope sliding down the piston disk slope.
Hold the turret in location and toggle K5.4 =1, =0 there should be an ever so slight "tick"
Hold the turret in location and toggle K5.4 =1, =0 and it should feel like it doesn't even move...
Now pull the BLUE BOOK from the pocket welded into the inside of the electrical cabinet.
Follow the Origin Set instructions that are on, or near, the Servo parameter page (it looks like Or9.5, but it is actually Org.S for Origin Set)

Here is a sample, but these will not be your parameters...just the procedure instructions
Re: Doosan Puma 400b Turret setting
Turret is hydraulic driven with rotary encoder. I would have called yesterday but didn't notice your response until late. I am also in the east coast (Connecticut) I really appreciate the help.

Re: Doosan Puma 400b Turret setting
Hydraulic motor turret is entirely different from servo motor style.
Various encoders show marker pulse at tool one, others show at tool 12.
Was turret ever disassembled? when re-assembled, was it done in EXACTLY the right order? (see YouTube Video for hydraulic turret, by searching for DOOSAN TECHNICIAN)
