Suggestions? Why BOSS HP-5598 Laser will not cut 1/4" MDF

Im trying to cut a sheet of 1/4" MDF but it is taking forever. Its a CO2 air assist laser. I can get it to cut with high power and low speed, but to cut a 4x8' sheet of 1/4' MDF it takes over 4 hours. The beauty of the laser is no sanding afterwards. We've got a Laguna CNC machine, and it can cut the same sheet in roughly 1 hour. But then there is sanding after it is cut.

The settings I have for set on the laser is:
Speed: 20mm
Power: 100%

And we are using a 2" lens.

Any suggestions would be great
