Using AR mode on Excetek EDM

We have an Excetek V500G wire EDM machine on which we would like to use the automatic rotation mode (AR).

We measured the rotation angle for the stock and turned the AR on, both global and for the G54 WCS offset. Once this done, it looks like the machine axis are rotated accordingly and when moving the jog the machine responds correctly, moving along the reoriented axis.

But, as soon as we start running a program on n G54 it turns the AR mode on (if not on already) but the head moves ignoring the rotation, along the default axis.

Can anyone advise if there may be something that needs to be added to the program to allow it to use AR? Something take out? Something else done somewhere else?
