WIXHC MK6-V Motion card on Mach3 STEP/DIR Spindle control
Looks like another issue hit me in settings. I have currently got my Vfd spindle running fine with analog 0-10v. I run another spindle this one under a different PROFILE and setting differ using a servo spindle in which I use step/dir for spin M3 M4. I went to the motor settings and set the pins on the spindle to my b axis pins. Which is the servo spindle. I go to the motor tuning to spindle to step the STEP PER just fine but VELOCITY doesn't let me set a value. Its stuck on 0. So I enabled the b axis as B. I can Jog it B- B+ it just fine as an Axis. But that doesn't do me any good. So I think I hit a wall on this one. I know I could set the servo drive to run in velocity mode and run 0-10v analog. But I use position mode and step/dir. Because I do use this spindle to do tapping. Anyone have a very special way around this? Since the motion card plugin seems to not allow the step/dir for a spindle.Maybe a different way like me post processing the spindle as B axis rather than spindle? I still have my Parallel board that I could try also connecting back up and try to run both Parallel and motion cards at the same times with both plugins running. If that even would work. Anyone running a XHC card with spindle step/dir?

I'm set on fail for this. I have got with cdxhctech. Its not able to run a spindle via step/dir. Ports are locked in the Plug-in. Swapaxis(6,4) macro doesn't work either because of. I will be researching a replacement or reversing back to my old card. Bummer for me.

Sorry Bro, but again I have to say that you get what you pay for. If you buying chinese junk then that is what you get. I still don't understand why people buying these without doing any resource. :(
You could get much better European or USA built motion controllers for mach3 for not much more money which actually support what you need.
Like: CNCdrive - motion controls or a Smoothstepper.
Re: WIXHC MK6-V Motion card on Mach3 STEP/DIR Spindle control
Really an USA Manufactured controller? I didn't know there was such thing.
Nice CNCdrive but I need 5 pul dir outputs.
I see alot from ESS and WARP9 has a great looking forum info themselves! I'm not really fond of the terminal ports and exposed PCB.
I'm looking at the DDUM6V5.0 . I have used there parallel board with good success other than kennel speed of port. Easily set up.
This machine will use 4 profiles with spindle type changes. Knife, Mill Servo, Router VFD, and Laser engrave.
And XHC web page states the spindle pulse/dir but NOPE...

Quickjam, you can use this then, it has 85 I/Os :) CNCdrive - motion controls and works up to 6 axis. Has 2 analog outputs 0-10V also.
And can connect one or two if these high speed breakout boards and good to go: CNCdrive - motion controls

ThX OlfCNC.
I did compare them both. Hard decision but finally ordered the ESS and MB3. ESS won the decision over because it handles the higher pulse rate so I can turn the spindle electronic gear ratio back to 1:1. Both have alot of instructions available. Mach3 has worked fine for me so I didn't see the real need to complicate with the move to UCCNC. Even though the UC300 works with either. ThX
Re: WIXHC MK6-V Motion card on Mach3 STEP/DIR Spindle control
Hi Quickjam,
What is the encoder resolution on your servo spindle that requires higher than 400kHz what the UC300ETH can do?
You know that is 400 000 pulses per second.
For example if your servo encoder has 1000 pulses per rotation then it can rotate up to 24000 RPM with the 400kHz.
Re: WIXHC MK6-V Motion card on Mach3 STEP/DIR Spindle control
All my servos have quadrature encoders 2500ppr/10000cpr.
Should be .036 degree resolution.
The spindle runs 2500rpm max.
I calculate 416,667pps
Axis are the same type directly coupled to a 5mm ball screw
I calculate 169,376pps for each x4

With a 10000cpr encoder the max. spindle RPM is 2400 at 400kHz

Can the drive for your spindle handle 500Khz or higher pulse rates?
