switching spindles and VFDs
I am currently running my spindle through a VFD. If I get another spindle, different brand but same specs, is it just plug and play, or is there anything I need to change or look at?

If all the spec's are the same and the VFD Drive was setup correct to start with, then there would be nothing to change
Just make sure that the spindle is correctly Grounded as some are not and this has to be corrected under the spindle Plug

Thanks, I thought that might be the case, but wasn't sure. How do you tell if a spindle is correctly grounded?

You do a simple continuity test between the 4th Pin in the Spindle plug and to the spindle body
