Camworks Postprocessing pockets and face milling on a sinumerik 840D

Hi all,

is it possible to use sinumerik cycles pocket3, pocket4, cycle71 in camworks postprocessor?

I configured drilling cycles using sinumerik personalized cycles and there was no problem because in the UPG sections tab already exists drilling section categories.

for pockets and face milling there are no sections, is it possible to create new sections or is there any other procedure to implement theese cycles?

It's possible to implement them as post operation but you will not have simulation of them !! I don't see any advantage of using conversational programming within a CAM system...

i was wandering... if the operator have to modify the program on the fly... maybe for a wrong allowance, if he could use the pocket cycle he could do it faster. no?

You could use the CNC compensation in NC tab to do this, I think it's less a risk than programming a pocket without any visual simulation, unless your machine cycle work exactly as the camworks pocket routines...

CNC compensation in NC tab can do it. It contains lesser risk than programming a pocket without any visual simulation, till the machine cycle work exactly as the camworks pocket routines.
