Is it practical to combine steppers and servos on different axis?
I have a combination of drives and motors, Parker S-6 stepper, Emerson FX-316 and AMC servo drives.
All the drives seem to happily accept step and direction. Is there good reasons not to "mix and match"?

and it's worked for me, but there might be something incompatible about your particular drivers that would prevent them from working happily together. On the other hand, there's no theoretical reason why it can't work, so give it a try and let us know.
