CNC Robot for 3D printing and post-machining -> Sinumerik Run MyRobot /Direct Control

CEAD uses a Sinumerik directly controlled robot arm (no robot controller inbetween) equipped with a single screw extruder unit / milling spindle for a hybrid application: 3D printing & milling.

Through the CNC control of the robot, the required precision in the complex robot movement can be achieved to enable not only the correct deposition of material, but also the milling of the part to a final contour. Combined with CEAD's Continuous Fiber Additive Manufacturing technology the robot is able to perform multi-axis composite printing with a higher speed.

The operation and programming of the robot is the same as for a machine tool, G-code.
