DIY Precision Black Granite CNC Machine from surface plate.

Hi,
I have started building CNC machine from black granite surface plate.

Dimensions of surface plate: 650x750mm
Working area of finished CNC machine: 200x200x100mm.

Used and worn surface plate was used for this project.

One question. Did you gave the base any treatment or directly painted it?

It is black granite surface plate. It was not painted.
