Test Trotec Prior to Sale... No Trotec Software HELP!

I have an opportunity to purchase a Trotec speedy at a good cost, but do not have a copy of job control software. I believe the unit works fine, but want to verify before purchasing and the current owner does not have a copy but has tested as much as possible without the software and everything checks out so far. I dont mind even purchasing the Job Control software but after I verified the unit was working. Is there anyway to get a copy of Job Control (or trial) or is there another software that I can verify the functionality of the laser with? Any tips or tricks to verify the laser with without software?
