Any one successful with RGB to LDC monitor swap?
I have looked for a new CRT and board but they range from $800 to $1200+ Just thought I would ask if anyone did a DIY monitor change to an LCD. I know the Delta 20 old is but she is mine and I am still having fun for now. By the way, what is this used for?

I don't think its possible to do on a Delta 20. To change out the display for an LCD, you'd need a VGA card which wasn't available on the Delta 20 (as far as I know).
Your picture shows a jog wheel. You turn it to move the axes in jog mode.

You can not just add a board to the CNC. The Delta 10/20 were true CNC with all custom hardware. The 30?40/50/60 and Delta 2000 have a basis on PC hardware and can run VGA monitors without a real issue. As stated you would need a some type of converter to change the signal type to run one of today's monitors.

Are you actually asking what an MPG is for?
Re: Any one successful with RGB to LDC monitor swap?
depending on the video standard of the original monitor you may find a converter to convert
the Delta's RGB output (possibly with syncs on Green o/p ) to SVGA
if the new SVGA monitor is able to lock to the Delta video line & frame rate
you may only need a simple converter to convert the original sync signal to the separate Horizontal sync & Vertical sync for the SVGA input
possibly a converter sold to connect a new SVGA monitor to old arcade games

Are you actually asking this question 15 months after this thread died?
