I rebuilt mine some years ago, fitting everything in the machine enclosure and discarding the controller cabinet - saves a lot of room! Not-very-good picture of the original arrangement attached. The stepper drivers shewn were home-build ones with a Bob Campbell breakout board fitted later. I fitted a balance weight to the head - the black thing on slides - to ease the task of the z-motor in rapid retracts.
