Processing ceramics
Hello everyone,
This is my first post, yeah :D
I ran into a rather exotic problem this week. A client of our company requested the machining of a Zirconium oxide part. He wants to modify a melting pot. All we have to do is to enlarge the hole at the bottom of the pot.
Is there a good solution to this problem?
I would be super thankful for tips and hints. I wish you all a wonderful week :D

Re: Processing ceramics
That stuff is really hard; supposedly it can cut steel. When dental technicians carve implants out of it they typically use multi-flute PCD tooling. Here's a video of someone cutting a big block of it dry: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2Lc8O5CZT10
