Turbo CAD to G code

I am totally ignorant on these matters and learning slowly.

I am building a router CNC table/machine. The mechanics of it now complete and I have come to the electronics part.

I have had Turbo CAD for a while now and have been able to use it with a certain amount of proficiency,
I'm recommended that Mach 3 is the best software to use.

Question :-

How do I get a 3D drawing into g code so that Mach 3 can recognise it.

Will Mach 3 automatically sot out how the item is machined.

You need a CAM program to create toolpaths from your drawings.
Take a look at Vectric's Cut2D. Products - Cut2D

TurboCad is used to create the geometry that you are trying to cut out. Turbocad uses its own format to save files that most other programs can't read. Turbocad does have a cam program that allows you to directly go from design and create the gcode that Mach3 uses. or you can use other programs that takes the DXF from the CAD and convert them to gcode. So you would need to export a dxf out of Turbocad into one of these CAM programs, like cut2D or cambam, etc. then the CAM program posts to (Mach3) after you specify what cutter diameter, cut inside or outside of the line, what depth, speed, ect.
Some programs offer free trials, some with their own geometry and some with your geometry. its always good to test before you buy, but its important that you be able to export DXF from the CAD program.
