I visit as often as I can. Always something interesting going on in here.
Paul,
You might want to add "small business owner" to the poll selection, there are a bunch of us here.

I don't get to visit as often as I'd like, but as previously stated, there is alway something interesting to read here. I still have not assembled my router, gathering parts requires years(seems like) and finding time to work on it is almost non existent. Only solution is wait for retirement. I'll be back.
How about us fix cnc guys?
This is a great site. You can' know everything in this business and it is always interesting to me to see how others skin the cat.
I visit the site when ever I can, not often, but there's always plenty of help and advice when it's needed. Thanks.
David
I've noticed in some forum software that spell check does not work when adding a poll. ;)
Whoa, not many responses! I pretty much login every few days now, I used to hover daily, but to be honest some of the precious attitudes here put me off at times, so I don't frequent as much. Although I have been fairly busy lately anyway. As others have pointed out, there is a goldmine of info here.
cheers, Ian
Small business owner here also.
I love this place, gets me out of trouble every time. I like to help others on here when I can.
Keep up the good work guys!
Make flight simulation panels etc on homemade cnc, got lots of info from this site over the years. Cheers guys keep it up.
Nice 1
I'm a hobby machinist wannabe and yet I visit this site from time to time. Does this count?

Cool! :)

Small business owner here as well, and the reason I selected all the choices except hobbyist.
Thanks Paul for a great site......

I am half way between hobbyist and professional. I've been lurking, as I found most of the answers to my questions by searching the forum

Didn't do the poll, I'd fill most of the holes.LOL Journeyman Machinist, Engineer designing machines, consulting business when bored (since I retired 11 years ago). Other than that, I lurk here and occaisionally.

I started as a hobbyist barely two years ago, and later it turned into a passion and made a sustainable career as a Machinist.
Started building acoustic guitars last year and thinking seriously about building a CNC router to assist in certain parts of the build process. I can see it being used mostly for building accurate forms, fixtures, and jigs (in my shop, at least) along with necks.
Hobbyist that wants to own a 4/4 wood router table in the future , with lots to learn . Luckily I found the smartest people on earth right here :)
I hang out in cnc zone since there's not really many of us here in our area that's tinkering with cnc's I dont wanna be like "lonely sam" and hopefully I can find a job overseas :) to unlock my full potential
Hi there, I'm programmer and machinist. Already doing CNC work with glass (Intermac Bevel 3200/4600 and Edge 1500/3000) for 13 years now. Most of the times I visit CNCzone is when I get a notification or when I'm in trouble. I love Intermac but when you get in trouble, there isn't really anything you can find that will help you on the web. CNCzone will help with the right people ;)
Development of CNC firmware/software for industrial CNC.
This forum is a so rich place of info...

*CNC is actually new to me.
14 months experience and exposure.
I’ve been a technical service, repair and installer for about 30 years before walking into a CNC shop.
Using this site as a sound reference to answer my own questions and augment knowledge regarding the subject of CNC in all aspects.
“There’s the manuals, and various sources of text references... However this site provides a means of discussion in the reality of resolving issues you’re confronted with for which you won’t find through any other media.”
So it’s good.
When I tried to recover the CNCZone password, it redirected me to Industry Arena.
After password recovered, I can login to Industry Arena only. Every time I click something linked to CNCZone, CNCZone asks me to login, but I can not use Industry Arena account to login to CNCZone.
Does anyone know how to do that?
What about putting student up the list? I`m not an engineer - yet.
