Mazak Quick Turn 6T wont boot up

Hello.

A friend got this CNC recently, yesterday we powered it on, but the problem is that the program just hangs on one screen the whole time. The machine was standing for a couple of months, but was claimed to be working properly (as they all do :P). It does show some possible faults, but as I'm new to this machine, dont really know where to start.

This is the screen at which it just hangs. Its running Win95, it boots up ok, but the program wont start.

On the back, PS EMG and BAT ALM lights are on, but the voltages of the power supply are fine (as far as I've checked). The battery could be dead, we didn't check that, but that shouldn't be the reason why the machine wont boot up, I guess.

NC led stays counts to 9, and just stays there. WD ER led is also on, but not sure what its that for, didnt find anything in the documentation.

My thinking is that its the PC's fault, maybe a software issue, or perhaps hardware, like the hard drive or something. Maybe its lost some data due to not working for a couple of months, and thats why the BAT ALM is on.

Im not sure where to start with this one, hoping you have some tips on what could it be.

1.- change the batery, you have 20 min for change it.
2.- close mazatrol
3.- enter to start menu, and erase the mazatrol.
4.- shut off the machine
5.- shut on the machine.
7.- enter to windows explorer
8.-RUN C:Ncbackup/disck1/setup.exe
mazatrol will be installed

Do you know roughly where the battery is?

the battery is on the same card that has the battery lamp.
see the second photo.
you need to open the cover of NC.
the batteriy is like a AA, 3.6 v.

The battery has been changed, and Bat Alm is no longer on.

But I cant access the Windows start menu or anything. When it boots up, Mazatrol is on auto startup, and because its not responding or anything, i cant close the program and get to the Windows desktop. I tried pushing every button, but no luck. I dont know if there's a way of connecting a keyboard or something, or is there some combination of keys on the machine that does that.

The PS EMG light is still on, only the battery alarm led has gone off.

The battery was completely dead, is it possible that because of that the machine lost some data, parameters or something like that? I dont know exactly whats the battery for.

I have the same issue as this gentlemen.I followd your guidance but after i erased the mazatrol i couldn't find the
setup.exe to reinstall it. (C:Ncbackup/disck1/setup.exe) exe not found.i tryd to find it manually,didn't worked either.
I'm in a big trouble now :( Could you help me with that file? I need it urgent!
