Joining Very Thin Stainless Steel Sheet
I have a project to build a heat exchanger of my own design...and it involves joining very thin sheets of stainless...30 gauge is my preferred material choice...
That is 0.012 inch or 0.3 mm...very thin...
The heat exchanger is for a gas turbine engine so it will see very high temps...over 600 C...
I am just starting to look into how to make this thing...some possiblities are to farm it out for furnace brazing...use resistance seam welding...or to just try welding it myself...
There are a large number of very small pieces so the cheapest way is to do it myself if possible...
Regards,
Gordon.
