Help Needed: Fanuc 210i tool numbers randomly change

Good afternoon.

We have a Komo Mach II that came to us with the tools numbered 9 to 16. No big deal, we wrote all our posts for that.

We had an odd tool change issue and Komo asked us to make a change which renumbered the tools from 1 to 8. We solved the problem and set the tool numbers back to 9 to 16 as per the Komo instructions. Except they wouldn't go back, only recognized 1 to 8. Edited all our CAD/CAM tool numbers to 1 to 8.

Now the control randomly uses 1 to 8 OR 9 to 16. We have not been able to determine any pattern or trigger for this.

Any ideas anyone?
