test the spindle from China

I received the spindle, ordered it in China. It was suspiciously cheap.. I checked the beating on the cone - 2-3 thousandths, then put the mandrel under the tool - the beating of 4-6 thousandths. It seems normal. Then I plugged it in, it rotates gently and without vibrations. How else do I test the spindle?

I think next testing should be just running it. Most Chinese spindles (from reputable sources anyway) are actually quite good, so just go ahead and use it.

You might check to see if it's internally grounded. For some reason, a lot of these spindles aren't, which makes them a shock hazard as well as potential emitters of radio frequency interference.
