Who can tell me what SWARF in the toolpath term is abbreviated too? i was told it stands for something but then the guy couldn't tell me what. i am really curious though as i cant find it anywhere online

This word can be used in more than one way if it is referred to while cutting it is a Swarf cutting operation check out some 5 axis tool paths they use swarf cutting operationsQuote:

In the Photo of the Mill there are a lot of chips or Swarf around the machine

It stands for side wall and radial feed. I only learnt this this week during some Open Mind 5 axis training!
