CSS lathe G96, special hardware needed?
Hi all,
Currently I'm using an mk3/4 for my cnc lathe. It works well and I'm very happy with whole setup.
Past few days I have been trying to get the CSS (G96) to work. However without any success yet.
The gcode manual from PlanetCNC mentions special hardware is needed to get the G96 to work.
But what kind of extra hardware is needed?
The hardware I have:
- MK3/4 in combination with Digispeed GX V3 board to control spindle with 0-10V.
- Spindle encoder for speed-feeback and indexing
When I try G96 the spindle goes to the maximum specified RPM and doesn't change when X-position is adjusted.
If needed I can post some of my gcode which I used for testing.
Hopefully you can help me.
Thanks in advance!
Patrick

Any idea when or if CSS will be supported? Last update was a long time ago!
Thanks,

Hello everyone,
I am also waiting for this function, with others such as management of complete lathe tools (management of dials and radii) to make G41 and G42 radius corrections during turning.
In the same vein, we had new features and corrections for each version beforehand. This has been missing for quite some time.
It would be nice to find them, is it possible?
Best regards.
