I haven’t used my micrometer 0-25mm for a long time. Now, the scale trommel stays still and doesn’t want to move.
Can it be made movable again? Maybe with help of rust remover, penetrating oil etc.?

I would try a little light oil. Do measuring faces have contact? Maybe there’s rust there.

Our inspection equipment monitoring makes it movable with help of WD40. Inject, wait a while and turn the scale trommel on and off several times.
