Problem loading Gcode on new Mach4 machine

Putting together a 3 axis gantry mainly for engraving. Mach4(demo), ESS, Gecko drives. Got motors tuned & calibrated but when I try to load any of the demo gcode files I get
"a macro failed to compile while loading"
What am I missing?

Try redownloading and reinstalling the Mach4 software; it sounds like something got corrupted.

would you install over the existing copy or do an uninstall, clean registry, then a fresh install?
And how about the ESS, fresh install on it also?
Also my profile, should I save it or start afresh?

[Save it. If it turns out to be a problem with the profile, you can always build another one from scratch, but that's more work than saving and editing the one you've got, if it's any good.]
