Do you need to replace some segments or want to create a different profile I used to make them it's just done with a cutter to the profile that you want the blocks are heat treated, and quite often hard chromed there are some of the large pipe sizes that are cast in aluminum and then machined, you have to make them in matched pairs

You could use a EDM as well to make them, but both lathe and milling is used to make them
