Hello. I backed up the PMC ladder file via RS232 from FANUC controller Series 18i-MB. I tried to open it on a computer, however, it is password protected. I have used getpass app and I have been unsuccessful so far. It displayed only ****************. Is there another way to crack the password?

When you use RS232 it comes out as a "Handy" file. I don't think getpass works with that format. You must use the memory card slot then getpass will work.
Unfortunately, the memory card slot is defected so I can't use a CF card to obtain the file.
You CAN also édit the ladder even you backup it by the rs232.
