Have a ML26 machine that we are having a issue with the Z axis gaining distance when cutting threads. When cutting threads on a 8 ft long X 6" round stock, we keep gaining on threads. Don't have much problems on a 2" round stock. Machine is 12 years old, with original motor & encoder. Looking for ideas on what to look for? Machine has a thud sound also.
