Re: motor fault (0x1)
Might be as simple as squaring the gantry. If you haven't done so lately, start there and cross your fingers?

Re: motor fault (0x1)
but drives are disable even when try to enable them same error and machine cant move

Re: motor fault (0x1)
I'm no technician, but if I was having motor faults. I would first push the gantry closer to the front of the table(with the power off) Then power machine on and see if motors fire up. If so, square gantry. If not, check all connections, look for binding gears and try again. I hear that you can swap motors with the Z motor. That is all I have to offer, and don't trust any of it. As I said, I am not a tech. G/L

Re: motor fault (0x1)
Same old same fault even when motors are not connected to racks!
seems electric not mechanical problem

Re: motor fault (0x1)
Need you to open the control cabinet.
Turn on power
Do you see any light come on the servo amps
If not check the 2pole break for the servo power, if might be on the bottom left hand side of the cabinet. It will be close to the small blue capacitor.
Is the breaker tripped, if not check power coming out of the breaker.
If you have power coming out, check the contact right next to it, contact should be pulled in
Check power coming out of the contact.
If not check (with power off) ohm out the contact (a9-30-10 abb contacts, I think that is the model) were notorious for one or a couple of the terminals from top to bottom to go bad. If you have 0 ohms between top and bottom or from 1 to 2, some times your can move one of the pairs to the third opening.
Hope I didn't over load you

Re: motor fault (0x1)
finally i was able to solve the fault count 18 which is not listed.
a high current transistor in xa drive board was faulty.after replacment ...machine is working.
Thanks to MPC service man who left me his phone number. our conversation triggered the solution.

Re: motor fault (0x1)
same issue, "motor fault Xa, Y, Z" upon startup.
figured I'd chime-in, that my fix was the ABB contact near the servos was stuck in the "contact" position even when machine powered down.
gently-yanked the row of fingers back out to reset, and machine powered-up like a charm.
intend to disassemble the contact and check for corrosion/binding, but I'm currently back in operation so will update if there's anything elseworthy of adding to an old thread :)
