Dyna Software Issue EM3116

Hi guys, picked up a Dyna EM3116 from an auction. Worked fine after fixing a few small issues, then crashed. I was able to get software from another Dyna owner, but the versions are a little different and some functions dont work. I have version 2.0 of the 4M.exe file, and he sent me 2.2. I know its just the bad EXE since I can run one (the 2.2) in a dosbox sim and the 2.0 file will just crash it. Looks like everything else is working. does anyone have a 2.0 4M.exe file? You can check the version by opening the 4M_SYS.DAT folder with notepad, mine says 2.0 10/27/1997.

Also once i get this running if anyone needs software (either 2.0 or 2.2) and wiring info let me know. Im also going to be working on converting from a HDD to a SD drive just like I did on my big Acramatic machine.

Hello,

I'm looking at a DM2800 with the updated controller with the color screen. Did you ever get the SD drive to work on it. Also can you program in Master cam and then load on the Dyna?

Do you know if you have to configure the cmos and bios if you update the software on the controller? Seems the setting were lost on machine.

hello everyone im very new to cnc milling i bought two dm2800 with tons of parts i paid a bit for them i watched the guy bi biught them from run them with the controller i was told i could buy a laptop with windows ten and get a cad program and run them. i have found nithing that works i have the db25 cable. what do i do from here i paid 5k for the two machines and parts with 20 collets. im at a loss any help would be greatly appreciated
