Haas VF2, Thoughts?

Hi Everyone.

We are looking at moving our manufacturing in house, and are looking at getting a Haas VF2 (2nd hand as we dont have the budget for a brand new machine at the moment). I have experience on other machines, Hurco and Hitachi Seiki mainly. But have never ran a Haas, so I am looking for peoples thoughts on the VF2.

It would be used to manufacture robot tooling, fixtures etc, so not mass producing the same parts over and over, it will mainly 1's and 2's off. Materials would mainly be aluminium and mild steel, with some occasional D2.

What are peoples thoughts on this machine, from experience would you say it is suited to the application?

Also, the full model number is VF2BHE, does anyone know what the BHE section refers to?
