Advice on bits to purchase for variety of materials
Good day.
I have bought a Avid cnc Pro4x8 which should arrive in the next 2 weeks. an OPT laser will be added as well at a later date.
I am looking for some advice on which bits to purchase from users that have experience in what I want to cut.
I would like to be able to cut and etch granite but I am not sure where to get these bits in the US.
I have put a links of what I am trying to accomplish.
If any one has experience with foam and plastic cutting as well pls advise on bit choices as well.

Re: Advice on bits to purchase for variety of materials
Hi,
you'll need diamond tools for granite and diamond tool MUST BE COOLED, and usually with lots of coolant, otherwise the diamond embeded in the tool
will overheat and break away from the tool. They wear out way WAY too fast without coolant.
Is your machine set-up for flood cooling?

Re: Advice on bits to purchase for variety of materials
Good day.
the plan:I have a water table 4x4 that I want to fasten on top the cnc table adding a pump setup and the granite piece will be fasten inside the pan.
for the granite works I do not think these will be bigger than 1.5x1.5 ft. so there is plenty of space around.
Thank you!
