Re: BUFFER OVER FLOW ALARM
As a general rule, reduce the BAUD rate on the control and computer.

Re: BUFFER OVER FLOW ALARM
Dear drdos
I investigated this case.
I took a photo of the device and computer settings. I attached them.
please guide me.
thank you.
Re: BUFFER OVER FLOW ALARM
Does anyone have a list of Fanuc control parameters?
List of parameters and their definition.
thanks a lot
Re: BUFFER OVER FLOW ALARM
i really need solve it. pleas guide me.
Re: BUFFER OVER FLOW ALARM
What is your control model? MSD-516 Is not a FANUC control. If you tell me your control model I can tell you what the part number for the parameter manual
You sent a picture of your I/O settings, are you able to send anything? As others have said, reduce your baud rate. Make sure parameter 20 is 0 and set parameter 101 to 10. This sets the baud rate to 4800 which you’ll also need to set on your PC
The first thing I would check is to see if there is a “%” at the end of your part program. That percent symbol indicates to the control that the file has ended.

Re: BUFFER OVER FLOW ALARM
Dear bumzag
thank u for reply
i check '%' in program and its ok. and when i reduce baud rate to 2400 in machine and pc alarm "070 no program space in memory" appeared.
parameter 0000 : 00001010
parameter 0001 : 00001110
parameter 0020 : 0
parameter 0100 : 00001111
parameter 0101 : 10000001
parameter 0101 : 0
parameter 0103 : 9
On the computer side, the port settings are as follows.
baud rate 2400
data bit 7
parity even
stop bit 2
flow control : hardware
my control is MSD-516II

Take photos of your DIRECTORY:FLOPPY screen in EDIT mode, and SYSTEM CONFIG.
Re: BUFFER OVER FLOW ALARM
087 means that the PC did not stop transmitting within 10 characters of being told to stop. The CNC has a buffer. When the buffer is 50% full the CNC will tell the PC to stop transmitting in order to empty the buffer. This is done by sending an X-off command. Your PC is setup for hardware handshaking. Change this to Software handshaking (also known as X-on / X-off). Verify that the CNC can send a program to the PC. If it can't, the PC will never get the command to stop.
Here is a link to a Youtube video I made regarding RS232 on a Fanuc. It's a little long since it was made for a training class.

Re: BUFFER OVER FLOW ALARM
Dear Shoprag
i tested your solution . i changed the flow control to " X-on / X-off " . But the problem was not solved.
But when I reduce the baud rate to 2400, error 087 does not happen, but error 70 does. " 070 NO PROGRAM SPACE IN MEMORY"
And the message of sending the full program appears on the computer.
How can I see the amount of memory on the device?
Thanks for your tips.
