new cnc user need help jinan machine+ncstudio failure

Hi im trying to communicate withmy jinan stm1325-3t machine through windows xp via the pci card that links the two.
i have followed instructions looked online at step by step guides and followed youtube videos for installing correctly.
install NCstudio on XP with no pci card inserted
power down insert pci card restart pc
pc recognizes pci card asks for driver install
install drivers no problem
hardware is ready to use message
however when i click on NCstudio i get this message
"driver error - the motion adaptor is self check failure or does not exist"
NCstudio doesn't load and i cannot get any further
any help appreciated thanks in advance

ive since found out from the company that i need to use 8.1 version of ncstudio waiting to hear back
