Would someone be kind to list all the pieces and kits I need to convert the G0704 to CNC? I have a good computer.

I would recommend the dmm servo kit as they are a local company. I can make the motor mount plates for you if you are interested.
Have you read Hoss' thread?
you would also need the ballscrews and nuts, the mounts for all three nuts, motor to screw couplers, wiring.

Looking at the parts PDF (#246-2 retainer cup) has a nasty wobble. I'm thinking this is not a good thing as it sits on the top of the drawbar. I've not even cut anything yet.

Must be a QA or person with no sleep on the assembly line. I have the wobble as well.

The cap mentioned previously does unscrew. (Just use the larger wrench included and also that new spindle pin to hold the spindle if you want).
Question, which part is cross threaded the retainer cup's threading or the spindle part #246V2
Wobble is nothing unusual from machines like this that have long narrow unsupported upper spindles, many machines will experience some wobble.
The spindle nose is where it counts.
You no doubt could move the top back and forth with your fingers.
If it vibrates too much at speed, remove the retainer, inspect and carefully reinstall so not to crossthread.
I'd just toss it like many of us have especially since you have the spindle wrench now.
