Have hit a snag on my DSP (0105) that I cannot get past. On startup message tells you that Y+ hard limit is out and needs adjusting; how does one fix this or what could be the cause?

Do in this way. Turn on DSP of cnc wood router, after HOME OPERATION finished, get into manual mode. Then press HOME, now you come to the screen with a list, such as MACH SETUP, AUTO PRO SET UP, choose SYSTEM SETUP, then choose FUNCTION set, then there is one item about the hardlimit, close this hard limit function. Then no problem. It is because DSP0501 version does not support hardlimit setting.
Be care about some setting up function in DSP, do not change it often.
