Stepper is so slow

Dear all,

I build a circuit using L298 and L297 which is only 2Amp , it works well but i have a problem with the speed of the motors.

please help me , why i cannot turn my motors with enough speed while using KCAM ?

could it be a problem with my driver or the motors itselfs ?

i'm using Stepsyn motors ,
